TWHBEA Hosts National Pedigreed Livestock Council

The National Pedigreed Livestock Council represents an organization of executive officers of the various nonprofit breed associations of dairy, horse and pony, sheep, goat, swine and beef species. TWHBEA, a member for several years, hosted the NPLC this year for its Annual Meeting and 100th Year Celebration.  The meeting took place at the Radisson Hotel in Nashville and gave visiting members a touch of southern hospitality, southern fare and southern entertainment.  This year, NPLC’s Distinguished Service Award was presented to Mr. Bill Harlin, legendary breeder, exhibitor and owner of Tennessee Walking Horses.  NPLC President Debbie Fuentes presented Mr. Ron Thomas, Executive Director for TWHBEA with a plaque and a copy of their new 100 year celebration book as expression of gratitude for hosting the event.  NPLC Secretary, Zane Akins presented Mrs. Diane White, TWHBEA’s Executive Assistant with a “Walking Horse Trophy” as a special Thank You for helping organize the event. The sharing of knowledge among the breed registries and executives has an impressive one hundred year history.  It was the pleasure of TWHBEA to host this distinguished association.
