TWHBEA To Move National Futurity
Lewisburg, TN - At their February 4, 2012 meeting, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) Executive Committee voted to hold the 2012 National Futurity in conjunction with the 2012 TWHBEA World Versatility Show. The decision to link these world class events was spurred by financial reasons and an overwhelming desire to showcase, at one venue, everything the Tennessee Walking Horse has to offer. By holding these events at the same location and over the same long weekend, TWHBEA will be able to shine a spotlight on virtually every discipline, from halter to flat shod and performance rail classes to reining, trail obstacle and jumping. Adding to the excitement of what will surely be a stellar span of events for our breed, the National Futurity will invite various world champion show horses to be on exhibition as TWHBEA showcases the future great breeding horses in our industry. Plans call for the National Futurity to be held in conjunction with the World Versatility Show to be held from July 19-22 in Murfreesboro, TN at the Miller Coliseum. TWHBEA is grateful for and recognizes the years of generous collaboration on the part of The Celebration regarding the National Futurity.
