Tracy Boyd
Tracy Boyd is a lifelong Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast. He is the proud son of long-time walking horse trainer, Billy Boyd, and has been showing horses since he was six years old. Tracy enjoys all aspects of the Tennessee Waking Horse industry and is especially fond of the breeding side of the business. He holds a journalism degree from Middle Tennessee State University and began his professional career in the walking horse media covering horse shows for the Walking Horse Report.
Tracy is a former employee of TWHBEA, serving as the association’s executive assistant for eight years. In 2007, he was elected to his first three-year term on the TWHBEA Board of Directors. His past committee appointments include the administrative/fiscal/audit, breeders, bylaws and enforcement committees.
Currently he serves as Breeding Manager for Rising Star Ranch in Shelbyville, Tenn., where he utilizes his extensive knowledge of walking horse bloodlines and pedigrees to provide consultations to mare owners and promote stallions for one of the industry's leading breeding establishments.
Tracy is a licensed Tennessee Walking Horse judge and has officiated shows in Kentucky, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Canada and throughout his home state of Tennessee. He resides in Shelbyville, Tennessee with his wife, Amy, son Colin and daughter Kiara.
